Since its opening in September 2002 the Village Music School has gone from strength to strength. Our success has been built on a solid foundation of skilled and enthusiastic teachers, fully committed to developing competent musicians whilst providing an enjoyable learning experience. We attract students from as far a field as Bolton and Ormskirk and the majority of our business arrives through recommendation.

Our location in Rainhill, Merseyside offers excellent transport links. We are a one-minute walk from Rainhill Train Station, and two miles from the M62. Rainhill village provides a number of pubs, cafes and shops within walking distance.

The school contains five modern classrooms, each equipped with a comprehensive range of musical instruments and technology. Parents are invited into our comfortable waiting area, to enjoy a hot drink and a magazine - unless of course they wish to receive music tuition themselves! We believe people of all ages can benefit from cultivating a musical ability and provide for children and adults alike. It's never too late! Students can choose to play purely for pleasure, or to gain musical qualifications. We offer examinations in multiple instruments, from grades one to eight, with assessments provided by the London College of Music. We currently boast an extremely high pass rate, which we feel demonstrates our commitment to excellence.

We regularly organise local shows and events, with an emphasis always placed on student performances. Such occasions have also enabled us to raise money for a number of charities, including Children in Need, Breast Cancer Campaign and the North West Cancer Research.
